Job Title: Health & Social Care Apprenticeship Tutor
Permanent Hours per week: Full Time – 37.5 hours per week, Salary: £23,000 – £25,000 per annum based on experience

Aims of Job/Job Purpose
Partners In Training NW are looking for an experienced health & social care tutor that can deliver up to level 5. The ideal candidate will have worked in the care sector and have the relevant teaching/assessing qualifications required for the role. Due to COVID-19 most delivery will be completed via virtual classrooms.
Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities
- Required to teach on Health & Social Care courses (both theory and practical sessions) up to the equivalent of Level 5
- Responsible for planning and managing learning programmes
- Responsible for the management and tracking of the student learning programme to include administering all paperwork related to tutor courses, tracking documents, monitoring targets, achieving and maintaining group size targets and arranging additional support where required.
- Providing learners with support, meeting their vocational and educational needs.
- Carry out the required assessments which will include initial advice and guidance, initial assessment, referral for additional support, assign homework and provide timely feedback on the learning experience.
- Ensure learners progress at the required rate monthly and all off the job hours are recorded according to company procedures
- Ensure timely and accurate completion of student and course registers and ensure poor student attendance is addressed and targets set when required.
- Responsible for ensuring student progress records are completed in a timely manner which will include monitoring of targets, Individual Learning Plans and e portfolio to provide course progression, advice and guidance.
- Be responsible for completing and maintaining appropriate internal and external quality standards (for example Internal Verification and External Verification).
- Be compliant with equality in teaching and learning.

Person specification
- Qualifications in health & social care preferably at level 3, together we evidence of occupational competence
- Assessor qualifications D32/A1/TAQA
- Minimum PTLLS level 3 or equivalent
- Demonstrable numeracy and literacy skills (to level 2 or equivalent)
- Excellent communication skills (oral and written) and demonstrable presentation skills
- Demonstrable teaching skills and experience
- Demonstrable record of achievement against aims, objectives and targets
- Demonstrable record of working flexibly and using own initiative
- Demonstrable administrative and organisational skills
- Good IT skills to include Microsoft Office packages
- Have knowledge and understanding of delivering apprenticeship standards
- Have experience in delivering online teaching
